Job Title: (Associate) Director Clinical Development
Description:
The successful candidate will work across the entire development continuum, from providing clinical input to non-clinical research, to providing input for clinical trial and program design in early and late phase clinical development.
The Associate Director/Director will work with a team of clinical colleagues to provide medical monitoring support and safety oversight during the conduct of clinical trial(s) for one or more pain/neurology drug development program(s). The Associate Director/Director will also participate in the design, data analysis and reporting of clinical trials. Depending upon the experience of the candidate, he/she may provide leadership for one or more clinical trials and support the creation of clinical development plans. The Associate Director/Director will need to communicate effectively with study investigators and scientific/clinical opinion leaders.

Job Requirements:
- M.D. degree, preferably Board-certified or Board-eligible in neurology, anesthesiology or psychiatry
- Previous clinical trials experience with knowledge of principles of clinical research and GCP
- Three to 5 years industry experience
- Strong technical skills and the ability to design, analyze, and interpret clinical study data are imperative
- Experience working on clinical trials from implementation to conclusion
- Experience working with external vendors such as contract research organizations (CROs)
- Experience preparing reports for management and regulatory agency review
- Familiarity with global clinical trial conduct
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Diligence in expanding own scientific knowledge and skills and maintaining awareness of clinical research activities
- Exceptionally creative, motivated, collaborative and scientifically motivated individuals sought
- Ability to travel as needed
